Summit follow-up meeting
The follow-up meeting is tentatively scheduled for the 3rd Saturday in January, 2009. The purpose of the meeting is for all newly formed committees to provide report on present and future activities. Also, prepare for potential hot legislative agenda to be introduced when the state legislaure convenes.
As the South Fulton community continues to grow and change, our leaders are invited to reflect on how we can best work together to serve our greater community. While the needs are great in many specific areas, and we have many wonderful independent groups addressing many issues, we know that we can sometimes affect a more powerful and wide-ranging change by joining forces. We will discuss what the common issues in our communities are, and how we can best work cooperatively to address them. Equally importantly, we will discuss how to create strong local leadership, how to promote our local leaders, and the direction the local leadership in South Fulton is moving. This will a powerfully cooperative exercise, achieved through sharing experiences, giving advice and discussing new ideas.
